#FriFotos: Warm Pools

As an active member of the Twitter community (you can follow me @TravelProducer), one of my favorite Twitter events is #FriFotos this week where we share fun photos evolving around a new theme each week. This week's theme is #Warm and what says "warm" more than pools, so here are some warm pools.

#FriFotos is a weekly photo forum by @EpsteinTravels, @TravelDesigned, and @CharlesYap. The photo theme is revealed every Tuesday on Twitter at 12pm ET.

This photo was taken at the end of a very warm day looking over the pool in front of Paradise Pier at California Adventure in Anaheim, California. It is also the staging area for Disney's amazing World of Color water and light show.

The pool at the Getty Villa in Malibu, California, is one of my favorites. This pool and property were inspired by the ancient city of Herculeum, Italy. An afternoon spent at the Getty Villa will feel as though you crossed the Atlantic and actually strolled a few hours in Italy. The lovely clouds rolling over the foothills provided for a nice warm day instead of a scorching hot one.

Located in Bel Air, California, the Getty Center was built in the late 1990's to be able to exhibit a larger portion of the Getty Collection. This beautiful pool is adjacent to the casual outdoor dining area and a great place to enjoy an latte. One of the things I also love about this location is the elevation atop of the small mountain, mean even hot California days are usually just pleasantly warm.

Well, I'm not gonna lie to you, this photo was taken on a HOT day and it's sort of a pool. This is actually a view from the Hoover Dam that is located in Nevada and Arizona.

From the Getty Villa's pool inspired by Italian architecture inspiration to the landmark Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy, pools around the world make you want to toss a coin or kick off your shoes on a warm day, roll up your jeans and wade through the water.
