North Hollywood, California Chandler Murals
The View from My Bicycle
By Marianne Schwab | Best Travel Deals Tips Blog
North Hollywood, California is not on the radar of most tourists to Los Angeles, however the bike path that goes through this San Fernando Valley neighborhood is quite popular with the locals.
There’s a strip on the bike path in the San Fernando Valley known as the Chandler Murals. I recently rode my bike from Lake Balboa Park all the way west to Burbank. While cycling along, I discovered a wonderful view to my right -- an outdoor gallery of murals as I came to the edge of North Hollywood on the Chandler Bike Path at Vineland Avenue. Here is the view from my bicycle of some of those murals that I took using my blackberry camera.

There is an entire mile of murals along this section of the Chandler Bike Path between Burbank and the North Hollywood Arts District that makes the view from my bicycle a feast for the eyes and a cultural experience while I get some great exercise.
Cycling has become a new passion for me since I rediscovered how much fun it is to ride a bike last summer when spending a day on a rental bike cycling through Yosemite National Park with my nephew, Tyler, and niece, Alexis. After that trip, I purchased a hybrid Diamondback Insight bicycle and now have over 1600 miles on it in less than nine months.
